Author Alfred Schaschl

About author	My name is Alfred Schaschl, I am 48 years old and live in Austria. Since my childhood I have always been fascinated by our oceans and their living beings, their wonderful creatures hidden in the depths of our oceans. When I was young I loved to read and watch the amazing undersea adventures of Jacques-Yves Cousteau and Dr. Hans Hass. Later in life, I grew more and more fascinated with the undersea world of Hass and Cousteau and became an sport diver and amateur film maker of our oceans. Since 2017 I have been participating at regular intervals in underwater film competitions and could already win some first and second prizes. In 2020 I won the competition "Kamera Louis Boutan." My films are created – with the exception of the speaker and the film music – entirely by myself and through my own efforts. I produce my films in order to present them to a wider public and show them the beauty of our planet over and under water as well as to meet other passionate film makers like me at the different competitions.
