Author Michal Štros

About author Michal Štros - biologist and underwater photographer. His initial ambition was not too different from most divers, to see and photograph the biggest sea creatures. However, he soon discovered the fascinating, bizarre world of the smallest sea critters and began to focus on macrophotography. He artistically processed some of his underwater photographs in graphic editors, resulting in stunning - sometimes surreal - images.
He has won numerous awards in international underwater photography competitions, especially in the worldwide Ocean Art competition 2020/2021 and at the PAF Tachov International Film and Underwater Photography Festival - Czech Republic - 2020/2021 and 2023. He regularly exhibits his photographs and publishes them in international magazines. He has also published a book "The World of Silence through the Lens of Underwater Art Photography" on Amazon.
